Beyond
standard flame and adhesive lamination are specialized laminations.
Different types of adhesives are used to achieve bonding for a variety
of markets. We are always available to assist you in choosing the
right service for your product.
Fusing
In fusing, the backing substrate already has a heat-activated adhesive
coated on its surface. When the face fabric and the backing are
nipped together under heat and pressure, they
bond/laminate to each other.
Pressure
Sensitive Lamination
The adhesive that is coated on the backing substrate is a pressure
sensitive adhesive. When combined with the face fabric under pressure
it bonds/laminates to the face fabric.
Dry
Web Lamination
Heat activated adhesive is also available in the web form. Once sandwiched
between the face fabric and the backing substrate and nipped under
pressure, the heat creates a bond between the face fabric and the
backing substrate.
